Remove standard views
When we create a new workflow from scratch Podio will automatically add views. Always remove all views automatically created by Podio. The standard view cannot be changed or removed but when adding a new view the new view will become the standard view. 
App layout
If there are less than 10 items in the app you can use badge layout. Otherwise use table layout. 
Layout options
Always set layout options for badge and reference layout (reference layout is the layout you will see when you add a relationship field in a template). We only need to show the most relevant information so add fields which are important and remove the ones which don't add value.
